Go In Trust...

Go in Trust
By James Dillet Freeman

The wood that is the world is wide
And full of trees from side to side,
So strange a place you cannot see
For certain where the way may be.
To find your way in it, you must
For the most part depend on trust,
And you may take a turn or two
Before you find the right way through,
But when you go in trust, you find
You have a compass in your mind.

I found this poem yesterday. The words resonated with me much like a song you thought you may have forgotten the words to - and then seemingly out of nowhere the words find you and you sing out in gladness. Trees forever inspire me, as does the concept of trust and faith. I wish you trust, peace and inspiration today... and the gift of a remembered song that you thought you may have forgotten the words to...

Hi Karen,
It has been awhile since I "visited" - and I've simply missed being inspired by your photos and words. So glad I made the time to linger with you this afternoon! Thank you!!

I love your choice of images to accompany this beautiful, rather haunting poem. The Trees, the Light shining, and mother and child protected by an arbor - pilgrims, I think. On the Way through, I am savoring the African Tree of Life these days, baobabs - their Presence (some call them "Le Vieux" - "the Elder") in the landscapes of my homeland here, and my spiritual journey do indeed remind and refresh me - through those songs I may have forgotten but find and sing again - and I am re-NEW-ed. Thank you, Karen. Simply inspiring.

About Me

My photo
I have always been inspired by my Grandfather's particular generosity and encouragement, along with his love for others and nature. His spirit lives on, and the influence is quietly with me as I write and share. This is my small offering that I pray will bless others and allow them to become Simply Inspired. warmly, karen -xok.

Each day provides its own gifts.
