Finding Roses

I like the whole of idea of recycling - and wish I was better at it (I do keep trying). One of my favorite ways to recycle is to drop off, at the local Community Resource Center, my items that I have discovered are not exactly "10"s for me (but could be for someone else). And while I am there, I poke around to see if there is maybe something that "sings to my heart." This weekend, my heart went out to a little bowl with scattered pink roses. The yellow tag said $5.00, but lo and behold, when I went to pay, the lady said, "It is your lucky day, 1/2 off on all yellow tags!" So for $2.50 I have a little bowl that is so sweet and springlike... and I did my small part for recycling and the Community... imagine that!

I love it when I see something and as you described so well "my heart went out." I know exactly what you mean. The pink looks so pretty for this time of year.

*so glad you enjoyed, linda... hey, i could use your delicious cookie recipe and fill up my rose bowl...-xok.
Like you I treasure a" good find", your bowl reminds me of our Gramma's treasures scattered throughout her home for our eyes to see. I always knew they were there to be appreciated, and I kept my hands behind my back as I pondered the beauty.
I still walk among the finds in stores with my hands behind my back as I lean in for a close inspection of the item that has captured my eyes. Thanks for sharing your bowl of spring, I promise to lean in to see it closer, soon. With love.
*kiki...so glad you enjoyed the little bowl...hands behind the back...darling. -xok.
Karen, I love the bowl. What a wonderful choice you made, what a find :-) and the recycling part is so true, such a great idea. We don't really have the garage sales neither the shops like that around here ... I always loved to visit those when I did live in the States ... sweet memories :-) sending love.
*well, birdie, today you visited with me in the states, and i am happy to share my sweet bowl with you, and stir your good memories! please take good care! -xok.
