Support a Star

Every blade of grass has its Angel that bends over it and whispers,
"Grow, grow."
-The Talmud
Each and every day we are touched by greatness and the loving influences that stood in the shadows and whispered "Grow, grow." With a touch of a finger we effortlessly turn on a computer; or watch a small child's unsteady gait (you can almost feel the parent's warm arms they fell into after the first step); or, we see a small business confidently throwing open their doors for the first time, boldly ignoring the recession's glare. We can wonder: who were the angels behind all of those efforts (and so many more unspoken here)? Who were the ones who encouragingly stated: "You know, I think you would be good at this! I think that is a good idea and you certainly have what it takes! I support you! I believe in you! Absolutely, you can do it! Keep going!" You might want to pay attention to those who wander onto your life path... perhaps their timing is perfect, and they have been given an assignment: to be your "growth angel"... or maybe you are theirs! You can even take turns...

My turn!
It's Friday again...and YOU have grown another week through your entries here and invited us along with you. Thanks so much! Each day's entry holds such insight and beauty and challenge, Karen. The threads which tie them together are strong - weaving a tapestry of thoughts and experiences and truths which enLIGHTen as we gaze upon it on any given day or from any given point...and yet these same threads are also flexible because what you offer so simply speaks to each of us in different ways at different levels.
I think back to the yarn ball and "beginnings". I'm glad to be at these beginnings, with you!
Betsy
Thank you, Heather and Betsy, for your loving support and inspiring messages. You each began, and continue with me, on this sweet journey (and you are separated in distance by the whole U.S.of A.!) We nourish each other in so many remarkable ways. I love what I read this morning from Julia Cameron:
"When we get something down, there is no strain. We're not doing; we're getting. Someone or something else is doing the doing. Instead of reaching for inventions, we are engaged in listening."
Thank you for "listening" and sharing with me.
With love, Karen
