Surf's up...

"For those searching for something more than just the norm.
We lay it all down, including what others call sanity,
for just a few moments on waves larger than life.
We do this because we know there is still something greater than all of us.
Something that inspires us spiritually.
We start going down hill, when we stop taking risks."

- Laird Hamilton (big wave surfer)

Is there a risk - big or small - that keeps calling your name, asking you to come out and play? Some folks call them dreams... what are yours? And what will it take to "lay it all down" to ride a wave bigger than your life as you already know it? Surf's up... grab a board... let's go!

Karen, the risk I am still not taking is to write a book. The book I have had in my heart for as long as I can remember. Reading your words just might push me over the fence :-)

Karen,
Thank you for the challenging words. I am not normally a risk taker, but I yearn to follow my Lord into work that blesses others. I will continue to look for where He wants me to be and do what He wants me to do.
May God bless you and all your readers today and every day.

About Me

My photo
I have always been inspired by my Grandfather's particular generosity and encouragement, along with his love for others and nature. His spirit lives on, and the influence is quietly with me as I write and share. This is my small offering that I pray will bless others and allow them to become Simply Inspired. warmly, karen -xok.

Each day provides its own gifts.
